St Albans Model Railway Exhibition 2009
organised by the CMRA will be held on
Saturday & Sunday 10th & 11th January

The Alban Arena

There will be more than twenty good quality working model railway layouts with a well balanced
coverage of scales, gauges and prototypes. A wide selection of specialist and general trades will be present
together with demonstrations, static exhibits and society stands.
Open Saturday 10am to 6pm - Sunday 10am to 5pm
Adults £6.00, Unaccompanied Children (5-16) £3.00
Two children admitted free with each paying adult

Unfortunately two layouts advertised in the Model Railway press and elsewhere will now not be at the
exhibition. The H0 layout Grafenwalde has been withdrawn by its owner Tim Hale of the Dorset Reichsbahn Group
and Angus Watkins has withdrawn his 00-9 layout East Quay, Chapel Pill

We will also be running our infamous CMRA Second Hand Stand.
Refreshments and a licensed bar will be available.
The Arena is in the centre of the City and is adjacent to the shopping centre and Saturday market.
Roman Verulamium and St Albans Abbey are close by. The Arena is well served by car parks which are free on Sundays.
Trains to the Abbey station from Watford Junction on the Premier Line - London (Euston) and all points north.
Trains to the City station from Brighton, Gatwick and London (Kings Cross/St Pancras) connecting St Albans, Harpenden,
Luton, Bedford and the East Midlands.
A free regular vintage bus service will be in operation between the Alban Arena and the Abbey and

Country Bus Rallies and a visit to their website is recommended.
Please note that the exhibition uses three floors of the venue with only one floor accessible
without using flights of steps. Free entrance for people with critically impaired mobility.
